The next meeting of the C-ITS City Pool: Services Deployment Training and Workshop will take place in Barcelona, Spain on 21 November, from 9:30 to 11:30. Save the date and join other public authority representatives for an interactive exchange of know-how on service deployment and the C-ITS Framework.

This event dedicated to training and exchange on C-ITS deployment is the perfect opportunity for public authorities to get access to practical knowledge, concrete demonstrations, and the latest innovative C-ITS trends, following up on previous City Pool workshops held in Helmond and Copenhagen. A short training session, centred on the needs of public authorities, will familiarise participants with the C-ITS Framework as a tool for C-ITS rollout.

Since 2015 the C-ITS City Pool is the central meeting point for public authorities involved in the deployment of C-ITS services at local, regional or national level, allowing participants to share their knowledge and experience with each other and supporting the uptake and market rollout of C-ITS services. With widespread implementation as the main goal, the C-ITS City Pool serves as a one-stop-shop for cities and road authorities to receive training, acquire knowledge, make connections and identify requirements, hurdles and best practices for on-road deployment. Participation is open to public authorities, road operators, traffic managers and all interested parties.

This C-ITS Training and City Pool Workshop is intended to raise awareness, build knowledge and encourage horizontal collaboration and knowledge-sharing in support of widespread deployment of interoperable C-ITS services across European cities and regions. Come and share knowledge, gather experience, speak with your peers and make arrangements for follow-up contacts and collaborations.

The event will take place on 21 November from 9:30 to 11:30, during the Smart City Expo World Congress (19-21 November). The Smart City Expo World Congress is a leading event for cities, the place where the future of cities is discussed and the most inspiring ideas for exploring our urban future are brought to stage. Since its first edition in 2011, it has become a central global meeting point for governments, companies, social entrepreneurs and research centres in order to strengthen capacities, increase collaboration and share inspiration for supporting the improved development of our cities.

Participation in this event is open to public authorities, road operators and traffic managers and other all interested parties, and is free of charge to participants with a SCEWC exhibition badge.
